Ecological Consequences Essay - 825 Words

Ecological Consequences (Essay Sample) Content: NameCourseInstitutionEcological consequences of current policies and practises in various parts of the worldIntroductionThe environment is the most fundamental resource endowment on the earth. It is a collective responsibility of humanity to ensure that the environment around them is kept safe and preserved for future generations. Conservation of the environment is not the function of leaders and organizations, but the responsibility for every individual who exists because no one can exist without the environment (Bates, p.51). It is uncouth, funny and uncalled to persuade as if they do not know the importance of the environment and, therefore, the need to conserve it.The main problem of the current human beings is the modernization. The great grave danger is the capital market growth and development. People have incorporated annuitization that is caused by the short term maturity t be reached by the progressively increasing pay out. The results are terrible, rising c apital production, markets, consumption, and surplus of economic products. However, apart from all this there is the key natural resources that are needed for capital investment and efficient use of the forests. The resources include land, water, forests, and marine fisheries. The problem with the current systems is that they have overexploited the existing resources and depleted the forests and other natural resources. There is the continual shrinking in the sizes of the natural resources, as the human beings continue to shrink the existing resources. Policies that govern the management and conservation of the natural resources have been recklessly handled and some are even non-existent. This absence is one of the causes of the mismanagement and careless handling of the natural resources endowed.Policies and ecological consequencesThe federal government sets policies through the houses governing the environment. The regulations are concerned with the environment. Policies are set a nd established through the ministry and then implemented through the very ministry. The policies that are set up sometimes are not in line with the management and conservation of the environment and, therefore, affect the existence of the biodiversity (Holland, p.112). The fauna and the flora of the environment have to be protected for ecological balance between the human beings and the other living things.Policies on the use of the environment like logging of trees are poorly managed. They dont favour good existence of the environment; rather the regulations favour other factors that are against the environment. Although other states have good policies concerning the cutting of trees as Canada, they still experience other problems associated with the cutting of trees and the general environment at large. Some policies like cut one and plant two is a good and productive type that will ever make the number of existing trees increase and flourish. The misplaced priorities and poor poli cies governing the cutting of trees and forests without practising afforestation and reforestation have led to massive destruction of trees and their environment. The animals that stay in the forest and as their ecological niche have been killed and their population reduced. A great imbalance exists in the earth due to destruction of the environment. Additionally, global warming is on the rise because of massive destruction of the environment. Reduced plantation and coverage of forests have led to the excessive accumulation of carbon dioxide that acts as a blanket that causes heating of the atmosphere from below. Floods are a result of global warming (Jones, p.23). The melting of the ice at the Polar Regions causes increase in the levels of seas and oceans and this eventually leads to flooding.Policies on setting up of industries and other plants have had also negative implications on the environment. Industries release much smoke to the atmosphere and part of the emissions is the g ases that accumulate in the atmosphere to cause overheating of the atmosphere. Eventually, gradual increase in the levels of the gases in the atmosphere leads to global warming. The warming up of the atmosphere has both effects on the flora and fauna and their coexistence in the ecosystem.More so, policies on the release of the waste material into the system of rivers and waters is had also had a great danger and effect on the biodiversity. The composition of the chemicals...
